Homemade Halloween Costumes For Kids: Hannah Montana Concert Costume

Halloween is a traditional American festival celebrated every October 31. During this day, young and adults alike are busy preparing for their respective Halloween activities. Children are busy visiting every house tricking and treating and collecting sweets, candies and money, while adults are busy attending different types of Halloween parties.

The dollar store sells all kinds of play hats for little boys. Purchase a red fireman hat to start with. Check for a cheap plastic disposable rain coat in yellow. If you can’t find a yellow one, get a can of spray paint and paint a clear one yellow. Use the same yellow spray paint on a pair of old pants. Black boots or shoes complete the little boys fireman Halloween Costume.

Clever adult costumes at parties still include dancing girls, skeletons, priests, nuns and that old favorite, a husband and wife in a two-person horse costume. Cows are still popular, along with cartoon characters such as Winnie the Pooh and Tigger too.

The main exhibit going on right now is called To the Rescue! This is an original safety exhibit that helps kids learn what it’s like to be a rescue worker. They have the Lil’ Red Fire Truck #5 and the Rescue helicopter that come with costumes for kids to play in. You can also stop by the Fire Safety House to play a safety game of Tic-Tac-Toe. Another fun part to check out is the To the Rescue Med Center where kids can pretend to be paramedics and even practice giving first aid to their puppet “patients”. There are lots of cool toys to play with like sirens, stethoscopes, bandages and even life rafts!

Another adaptable idea is the Lego idea. Taking a box and wearing it as for the Lego costume can be used for other costumes. You could paint the box dark brown and it could be a table–simply attach some plastic dishes, silverware, and cups to the top for place settings. Or, cover the box with aluminum foil and your child can be a robot. All you would need to do is add a smaller aluminum foil-covered box for a hat and some silver face paint. Another idea would be to paint the box blue and then glue on some large fish (ones your child has colored and cut out, perhaps) and some fern-type fake plants and you have an aquarium.

The Demon costume comes equipped with a black wig, black pants, choker gloves, boot cover and a belt. The costume, however, does not include the trademark makeup or the wig. Made of polyester, the Demon costume is also machine washable which is a major plus.

To create a Jack-in the-Box Halloween costume, choose a box sufficiently large in order to fit over your little one’s body and cut out the bottom. Then cut out openings for the arms and head. Paint the box with bright colors and put on a crank. Instead of having the usual clown pop up out of the box, you might develop a horror costume by having a horrifying witch or ghost pop up instead.

Under the sea is one of the several Halloween themes suitable for aquatic-themed party. If you want to choose what attire to wear, you can select between creatures of the sea, the sea itself or someone who enjoys the sea. It can be made using accessories and old clothes.
